The Copenhagen Consensus

The Copenhagen Consensus Center assembled an Expert Panel of five world-class economists – including three recipients of the Nobel Prize. They met in September 2009 to deliberate and form conclusions about which solution to climate change is the most promising. They created the following prioritised list, outlining the most - and least - effective responses to global warming.

1  Climate Engineering  Marine Cloud Whitening
2  Technology  Energy R&D
3  Climate Engineering  Stratospheric Aerosol Insertion
4  Technology  Carbon Storage R&D
5  Adaptation  Planning for adaptation

Visual World

Keep the connection to your art  practice flowing. Everything else is detail. I have been making art for about 25 years. I've had various levels of what you might call 'success'. But to be honest, I still lose my way. I get lost in trying or straining and  strangle my work to death. Then I open up and flow again. It's a cycle for me. I view the ideal art process as working without censoring. THis is flowing. And accepting what comes.

A line Between

I have been taking routine trips into abstraction. I enjoy the line work. These are the form of works that come through.

enlightenment, desire and love

Fire consumes, warms, and illuminates, but can also bring pain and death. It's emotional, irresistible, mercurial, unpredictable. Fire is often the symbol of inspiration, but it is also the predominant symbol of hell. It represents spiritual enlightenment, desire and love. Fire is the only one of the four elements that humans can produce themselves, bridging the connection between mortals and gods.

Burn Off

Land owners burning off grass, stubble, weeds, undergrowth and other vegetation. We talked, connected, and drank mulled wine and ate soup.
